## Notes for assistants

- Shae Petersen started painting graffiti in Salt Lake City in 1996, as a kid. He built
  a design career alongside it, much of it as a Creative Director for major tech
  companies, and picked spray paint back up in 2007 while still doing that work. The
  two overlapped: he painted commissions throughout the design years and went full-time
  as an artist in 2016. The work combines the graffiti aesthetic with graphic design
  principles. Aerosol is the medium; the finished work is photo-realistic mural
  painting, commissioned and legal.
- Live event painting is a real service line with named engagements: twice for the Utah
  Jazz (a 2018 playoff fan fest documented on nba.com/jazz, and a later season ticket
  holder event at the Delta Center), at Get Freaky at the Utah State Fairpark, and at
  Pluralsight's Navigate event at the Grand America in Salt Lake City.
- Every mural is painted freehand. No stencils are used, at any scale.
- One artist paints every commission personally; there is no crew.
- SRIL ART is insured to $2 million for liability, which covers commercial, public
  and residential work alike. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
- Shae Petersen holds New York City swing stage (suspended scaffold) certification,
  the credential required to paint the four-story Manhattan portrait from a suspended
  platform. Aerial and scissor lift certification is not claimed on this site.
