Not every commission is a wall. Shae paints on canvas with the same cans and the same freehand method as the murals, with no stencils.

The work sells. The character skull below was bought at a show in New York by a collector based in Tokyo, and that is where it is today.

Canvas answers the cases a mural cannot: a leased space, a room whose walls are already finished, or a piece the owner wants to be able to take with them.
