Sea Turtle

A green sea turtle swims the length of the back wall of a private tennis court in Bountiful, painted in 2019.

The wall is the court’s own backstop, chain link above it and a floodlight at one end, so the piece is read from the far baseline rather than from a few feet away. The water is carried right across the span in turquoise and deep blue, and the turtle sits in the middle of it at close to life size, shell and flippers picked out in green and gold.
